The Füchschen brewery has become a cultural establishment that is central to the tight relationship between Altbier and the cuisine of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Restaurant “in the little fox” has been a first-priority destination for both local and international foodies for centuries.
The enormous Haxe (crispy roasted pork shank) is our most renowned staple of Düsseldorf culinary heritage. Pork shank is but one of the many succulent dishes that have been complimenting Altbier for generations.

“Tartar served on split toasted French bread rolls with freshly made butter spread directly onto the bread topped with the tartar, served with a side of tomato and cucumber slices. This has to be one of the most refreshing food-beer matching there is. For a food and a craft beer enthusiast Füchschen Brewery is the destination of Düsseldorf.”

-Schuyler Ward, beer snob.
